This image from Inside Out magazine's 10th anniversary issue featured on Absolutely Beautiful Things is so uplifting that it gets me very excited for Spring. The cluster of children's artwork on the back wall is also a dizzying happy fun mess! Paired with the calming marble tabletop and white walls, it all works. And those flowers I could stare at all weekend. Must be a great kitchen to spend time in. Thank you Anna for posting this one!

Kelly Wearstler's tablescapes are inspiring me this week! Check out the great metal sculpture in the image above, large and hard to miss. Also take a look at the over the top wallpaper in the first image, that looks like a huge abstract painting has taken over the foyer of her Hillcrest estate. Each time I think a design idea might be too much I think of this wallpaper and try to go for it. Have a great weekend!

What a new mix. The pastel, uneven striped walls, neon accents, bold pattern, classic shapes mixed with new...it reminds me of an interesting abstract painting. One of those surprising rooms that comes together through experimenting on set.

More Dries Van Noten

I apologize for the so so image quality, but I finally downloaded my camera from my Paris trip and I just fell in love again with the Dries Van Noten store bordering the Seine. My photography certainly does not do it justice. The yellow silk drapes, mixed with the baby blue sofa, funky pillows and metal coffee table were a dramatic punch. I highly recommend a visit if you happen to be in the city of lights!

Susan Vecsey's Landscapes

A former banker turned painter, Vecsey's work is currently on view through May 4 at the Spanierman Gallery in East Hampton. If you love art that transports you to a peaceful place you must check out her website. She's bringing modernity to landscape painting.

When I get a second I will try to post more images of this space! I haven't had a chance to download my camera yet. The Dries Van Note n boutique in Paris along the Seine is a sight to see for all design and decor addicts! It's pure sensory overload and a true shopping experience. There's a masterful, painterly touch in the design that is fearless. The creation of a true interior buff. Lots of pastels, shots of red, dark ebony, kilims mixed with mod metal coffee tables, great antiques...

Paris Heaven

My sister and I recently spent several amazing days together in Paris. This was our first solo trip together and it was a blast! I hadn't been in four years and was really blown away by all the jewel box design stores in St. Germain de Pres where we were staying. No matter how small the space, no detail was left untouched. Very inspiring in so many ways and always a pleasure to see! Of course one of the highlights was gorging on pastries at Laduree. Somehow we managed to make several stops throughout the week!

Today is my first day back at work! Since the birth of my son I've become obsessed with kids' bedrooms.....the colors, the fantasy. You really can go in a million design directions to create a space that allows them to dream, be creative and have lots of fun. I seem to be drawn most to spaces with white walls with pops of color. Hippie Boarding House to Modern Home

Hope you're all well! I've been super busy with my little one, but I had a couple minutes to read and came across the below space in the NYtimes.

Check out Casper and Lexie Mork-Ulnes beautiful home. The renovation took five years (they took time out for the births of their adorable kids Finn and Lucia). I love the mix of old and new and the freshness of it all.

The glass doorway below keeps everything loft like and open.

Sibella Court's New Venture....

Small Spaces With Punch

I love both small spaces above. The wall treatments are just over the top. You may get sick of so much pattern in a larger room (maybe not), but I think it makes these interiors interesting and eccentric jewel boxes. They're older tears, sorry for the semi-shabby condition!

Rebecca Robertson's LOFT

I'm a huge fan of Rebecca Robertson's style. And the Martha deputy decorating editor's loft is being featured in the September issue of the magazine. The design is modern and new without feeling cold. I love the floor lamps flanking the sofa, the limited but bold use of pattern and the freshness of it all. The story was shot by one of my favorite photogs to work with Jonny Valiant.

Love those black walls in interior designer Ryan Korban's kitchen. What would have been a ho hum space gets an edgy lift with several coats of paint!

My newest blog obsession is photog Todd Selby's The Selby. The site features a range of funky homes/studios of artists, models, editors and many others. It's updated regularly and it's very cool to take a peak into the homes of such creative people! I've always thought the best spaces are the ones where people make it personal and bring in their own point of view no mater how outlandish. Also check out Todd's commercial photography.

Welcome everyone! Thanks so much for checking out my blog and giving me a chance to share my passion for interior design. Everybody deserves an interior that's a personal sanctuary whatever your budget. I don't believe in decorating rules, it's about what makes you feel good and about having fun.

For years I had a black Asian inspired coffee table, but recently I decided to mix things up a bit. Since I'm obsessed with all thing glossy and white I decided to order CB2's City Slicker cubes. I love the little bit of modern edge they give my living room, and they're so light that I can shift them any which way. They also don't break the bank, cheap and chic.
