New Funky Cards

I saw some of Iomoi's new card designs on Absolutely Beautiful Things and fell in love.  They've long been a favorite of mine.  Some of the cards that Anna Spiro featured are above and I've added a couple more that caught my eye. Have a great long weekend!

Small Spaces With Punch

I love both small spaces above.  The wall treatments are just over the top.  You may get sick of so much pattern in a larger room (maybe not), but I think it makes these interiors interesting and eccentric  jewel boxes. They're older tears, sorry for the semi-shabby condition!

VIRGINIA JOHNSON'S TEXTILES

The illustrator, textile and fashion designer's fabrics make you feel as if Summer will last forever.  Her designs seem to page homage to Alan Campbell or at least they remind me of some of his work for Quadrille.

Kitchen Inspiration

I love to cook and want to redo my hum drum kitchen, but since I'm almost nine months pregnant it's not the best time!  I've been gathering images that inspire me for a future overhaul. Rebecca Robertson's LOFT

I'm a huge fan of Rebecca Robertson's style.  And the Martha  deputy decorating editor's loft is being featured in the September issue of the magazine.  The design is modern and new without feeling  cold.  I love the floor lamps flanking the sofa, the limited but bold use of pattern and the freshness of it all. The story was shot by one of my favorite photogs to work with Jonny Valiant.

Haven Home in Montauk

Sorry I've been MIA for several days!   My husband and I took a mini vacation to the beach.   I'm 8 months pregnant so time away from hot and sticky Manhattan is a welcome reprieve! The orange and white chest of drawers below takes me straight back to the 70s and my early childhood.  The piece could also be interesting propped up against a brightly lacquered wall!

Todd Selby

Color plus white at Libertine designer Cindy Greene's NYC apartment.  And her classic black and white Living room.


Love those black walls in interior designer Ryan Korban's kitchen.  What would have been a ho hum space gets an edgy lift with several coats of paint!

My newest blog obsession is photog Todd Selby's The Selby.  The site features a range of funky homes/studios of artists, models, editors and many others.  It's updated regularly and it's very cool to take a peak into the homes of such creative people! I've always thought the best spaces are the ones where people make it personal and bring in their own point of view no mater how outlandish. Also check out Todd's commercial photography. 

Tom Scheerer's Beach House Designs

Nobody designs quite like Tom Scheerer.   His interiors are the perfect blend of modern and classic.  And they always seem unpretentious and timeless.   Whenever I take a look, I feel transported to the Caribbean.   Have a great weekend!
